Solution Sales Executive - Development & Cloud Solutions – Manchester

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000. Uncapped Commission.

We are an independent software development company that concentrates on delivering custom solutions through web and mobile apps, cloud migration and application modernisation. We are currently a small team and are looking for a sales executive who will make an immediate impact to our sales and go on to become a significant role in the business.

What would I be doing?

Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Creating and managing lead generation, qualification, contracts, and closure.


  • Comfortably engaging and developing new business relationships with directors, owners, and key individuals for 5 to 50 employee businesses across the UK.


  • Utilising the “challenger” sales approach - where you’ll demonstrate outstanding questioning skills within a consultative, solution-lead sales approach.


  • Demonstrate competency and experience in understanding the client’s requirement and working with them to show that you have the solution to their problems.


  • Managing ongoing client relationships.


  • Working with 1-to-3-month sales cycle and deal sizes of £10,000 - £100,000.


  • Providing an accurate forecast of new business opportunities and meet/exceed monthly revenue target according to KPIs.


What qualifications and experience do I need? (Requirements)

To be successful in this position, the following qualifications and experience are desired:

  • 2+ years of B2B experience in sales, preferably in the technology industry or a related field.


  • Strong prospect meeting, pitching, and closing skills.


  • A track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.


  • Excellent relationship-building abilities, both in-person and over the phone.


  • Knowledge and/or experience of the “challenger” sales methodology.


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (listening, verbal and written).


  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.


  • A general understanding of technology solutions, cloud computing, and related industries.


  • Previous experience working at startup and/or a rapid growth organisation, and a strong desire to do so again.


  • Experience using Salesforce, or similar tools.


  • No degree necessary.



  • 2+ years of SaaS or custom software development sales experience.


  • 2+ years of working in a startup or small business environment.
